As the object distance is decreased to zero, i.e, brought closer to the lens the image in a diverging lens and converging lens becomes almost similar..... Write the point of difference that still exits.....

For the diverging lens, the image formed is always diminished.  Suppose if the object is kept between the focal length and the optical center, the diverging lens would form a diminished image and a converging lens would form an enlarged image though both being virtual
