St. Mark’s Sr. Sec. Public School, Janakpuri organized the Annual Inter School On The Spot Painting Competition on 19th November 2019 for the 20th time successfully this year.
Sh. Mohinder K. Puri, an eminent and renowned artist graced the occasion as the chief guest. Our School Director Ms. Anjali Aggarwal felicitated the distinguished guest. She encouraged the young artists to express themselves freely and declared the painting competition open.
The event received an overwhelming response with participation of over 50 schools across Delhi.
Vice-Principal Ms. Inderpreet Kaur Ahluwalia welcomed the august gathering, and talked about how the medium of art allows the young minds to explore their own thoughts and imagination. She also reminded us that the year 1999 marked the beginning of this beautiful journey in our school and how this event has grown with time, especially, when in 2016, the school had taken the competition to an international level.
This year too, the school took the legacy forward and received online entries from countries like Poland, Czech Republic, Spain, Philippines and others. The international presence was warmly felt in the company of our delegates from Netherlands, Mr. Niek Bogaard and Mr. Ronald de Knegt.
Artists Mr. Nitin Kant and Mr. Tutu Pattnaik were the esteemed judges for the event. The chief guest, along with the judges, gave their trademark strokes as remembrance for the grand event.
Everyone, including the guests and participants from various schools, appreciated the efforts put in by the staff and management in organizing the event
