As Tyl was a Flemish painter, the Captain of Guards allowed him to meet the
Archduke. The Archduke welcomed him. He gave him a grand feast. Tyl presented his
painting to the Archduke. The Archduke was impressed and Tyl was appointed as the
court painter. Tyl was thrilled. That night he was so excited that he could not sleep. He
expressed his feelings in his diary. Prepare the possible diary entry.

Dear Diary

I am so excited that I think I am going to burst with happiness. I took my chances and came to see the Archduke. Of course the guards stopped me at the entrance, but eventually let me in. The Archduke seemed extremely impressed with my painting. I thought he would reward me with some good money and I would be back home but what happened was even better! He appointed me as the court painter. Can you imagine that? I am not Tyl anymore. I am Tyl, the court painter! Never in my wildest dreams had I thought of this! I am so thrilled that I don't think I will be able to sleep tonight.
