As we know that our blood is basic in nature and bases help to neutralise acid. Then, why we got pain when bee-sting leaves an acid ?

The acid in bee sting is formic acid which is also known as methanoic acid. However it is not really the acid that causes the pain. Most active ingredients in bee venom is melittin & apamin both of which cause pain & swelling
