it can be solved easily when you know the graph of y = sin(x)

see figure, here it is clear shown the graph of sinx. here we have learnt , value of sine increases between 0 to π/2 and then decreases between π/2 to π.

so, x increases from 0 to π, the value of sine increases at first and then decreases.

but here y = -sinx [i.e., graph of y is mirror image of sinx with respect to x-axis. as shown in 2nd graph ]

so, x increases from 0 to π, the value of y = -sinx, decreases and then increases.
