34 , 37 , 42 , x - 2 , x , 49 , 50 are

given marks of 9th class students.

Number of students ( n ) = 7 ( odd )

Median = ( n + 1 ) /2 th term

= ( 7 + 1 ) / 2 th term

= 4th term

= x - 2 ---( 1 )

Median = 45 ( given ) ----( 2 )

( 1 ) = ( 2 )

x - 2 = 45

x = 45 + 2

x = 47
