Aself help group wants to manufacture joker's caps of 3cm radius and 4 cm. height. If the available paper sheet is 1000 cm², then how many caps can be manufactured from that paper sheet?​

so we know that joker cap are in conical shape

so for a conical joker cap,

radius(r)=3 cm

perpendicular height(h)=4 cm

so to find slant height l

using

l.square=h.square+r.square

=(3).square+(4).square

=16+9

=25

taking square roots on both sides

we get l=5 cm

here -ve.value would get neglected as dimensions length are never negative

hence slant height(l)=5.cm

so now we know that

curved surface area of cone=πrl

hence curved surface area of joker cap=πrl

=3.14×3×5

=3.14×15

=47.1 cm.square

so now

no of caps made from paper sheet=surface area of paper sheet/curved surface area of joker cap

=100/47.1

=21.23

but as things,objects are never in decimal

21.23 is approximately 21

so thus 21 caps can be made from 1000 cm² colour paper shhet
