Asexual reproduction:-

• No involvement and functioning of reproductive organs.
• No gamete formation occurs.
• Progeny is identical to the parent.
• Only mitotic division is seen in the development of new individual.

Sexual reproduction:-

• Involvement and functioning of reproductive organs are seen.
• Gametre (reproductive cells) formation occurs.
• Progeny that is produced in this manner possess new characters other than parents.
• Gamete formation occurs by means of meiotic division.
