Ashell is fired from a gun from the bottom of a hill along its slope. the slope of the hill is     and the angle of barrel to the horizontal is  = 60o, the initial velocity of the shell is 21 m/s. if the distance from the gun to the point at which the shell strikes the plane is = k meters then find k/10.

Initial velocity of shell, u=21 m/s

Slope of the hill=α=30°

Angle of the barrel to the horizontal,

β=60°

θ=β−α=60°−30°=30°

Distance of point from the gun at which shell will fall=Maximum range

R=2u^2/g×sinθ cos(θ+α)/cos^2α

=2×21^2×sin30°cos60°/9.8×cos^2 30°

=2×21×21×1/2×1/2 / 9.8×3√/2×√3/2

=30 m
