The value of sales (c) 40,000 if he wants to earn 7600 in a particular month.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let 'x' be the number of times of sales greater than rupees 10000

From question, we can obtain:

Salary = 1200 + x (50% of basic for every 10000 sale) + x (10% of sale)

Let the number of sales be 50000, after reducing 1st 10000 , we get,

Remaining = 40000

Which is 4 times 10000

So, x = 4

Salary = 1200 + 4 × {50% of 1200} + (10% of 40000 )

Salary = 1200 + (4 × 600) + 4000

∴ Salary = ₹ 7600
