Ashish and deepak contribute to charity . the contribution of ashish is 2/5 of contribution of deepak. write a linear equation to represent the above and draw the graph . From the graph find the contribution of ashish if deepaks contribution is Rs. 50 .

5x=2y

x = 2y /5 ....( i )

By putting values we can construct graph.

Let y = 5

x = 2 × 5 /5

x = 2

( x , y ) = ( 2 , 5 )

Let y = 10

x = 2 × 10 /5

x = 4

( 4 , 10 )

Let y = 15

x = 2 × 15/5

x = 6

( 6 , 10 )


We have to find when y = 50

x = 2 × 50/5

x = 2 × 10 = 20
