Given :  Ashish and Subhash started a business with Rs 10000 & Rs 15000 respectively. Ashish withdres N% of his investment after 6 months & Kritika replaced Subhash with N% of Subhash's capital.

To find :  If at the end of the one year, Kritika's share of profit is Rs 2700 out of the total profit of Rs 11400, then what will be the value of N

Solution:

Ashish  invested  Rs 10000  Rs

& with draw N % after six months

N % of 10000  = (N/100)10000 = 100N   Rs

Ashish effective invesetment  = 6 * 10000 + 6(10000 - 100N)

= 120000 - 600N  Rs

N % of 15000  = 150N Rs

Kritkia investment  = 6 * 150N  = 900N  Rs

Subhas investment = 6 * 15000  + 6(15000 - 150N)  =

= 180000 - 900N  Rs

Total investment  = 120000 - 600N  +  900N  + 180000 - 900N

= 300000 - 600N Rs

Kritika's share of profit is Rs 2700 out of the total profit of Rs 11400,

=>   900N / (300000 - 600N)   = 2700/11400

=>   9 N / (3000  - 6N)   = 27/114

=> N / (3000  - 6N)   = 3/114

=> N / (3000  - 6N)   = 1/38

=> 38N  = 3000 - 6N

=> 44N = 3000

=>  N  = 3000/44

=> N = 750/11

=>  N =  68.18 %

Value of N = 68.18
