Answer:

let her daughter's age before 2 years be x. Then ashmira age = 3x

at present

daughter's age = x+2

ashmira age = 3x+2

By question,

5(x+2) = 2(3x+2)

= 5x+10 = 6x+4

= 5x-6x = 4-10

= -x = -6

= x = 6

therefore her daughter's present age = x+2 = 6+2 =8 years

ashmira age = 3x+2 = 3*6+2 = 20 years
