lenght of mid point from one peg=8/2=4
using pythagoros theorem
lenght of the tent from peg to peg=root 3 sq.+4sq.
=root 9 +16
=root 25
=5 m

Answer: Length of the tent from peg to peg is 10 m.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Height of triangular tent = 3 m

Distance between two pegs = 8 m

As shown in the figure,

In ΔABD,

BD = 8 m

BC = CD = 4 m

Since, ΔACD is right angle triangle.

H^2=B^2+P^2\\\\H^2=3^2+4^2\\\\H^2=9+16\\\\H^2=25\\\\H=\sqrt{25}=5\ m

So, Length of the tent from peg to peg is 5 m +5 m = 10 m.
