Given :  Ashok lent two equal sum of money to Rahul and Laxman .while Rahul agreed to pay interest at 5% p.a Laxman agreed to pay interest at 6%p.a .at the end of 10 years Ashok received ₹1000 more from Laxman towards interest

To find : how much did Ashok lend to Rahul and Laxman each

Solution:

Let say amount = P

Simple interest = P * R * T /100

SI at 5 %  = P * 5 * 10 /100 = 5P/10

SI at 6 & = P * 6 * 10 /100 = 6P/10

6P/10 - 5P/10  = 1000

=> P = 10000

Ashok lend Rs 10000 to Rahul and Laxman each

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let P be the principal

Ashok received ₹1000 more from Laxman towards interest .

Simple interest = p×R×T /100

So the difference between the simple interest be 1000

So,

P× R ×T /100 - P ×R×T /100 = 1000

P× 6×10/100 - P ×5×10/100 = 1000

p×60 - p×50 = 1000 × 100

60P - 50P = 100000

10 P = 100000

P = 100000/10

p = 10000

Ashok lend 10000 to each
