Ashok's inscriptions are mainly found in Brahmi script.

EXPLANATION:

Ashoka is one of the earliest and also one of the greatest emperors to rule India. He belonged to Mauryan dynasty and carried forward the tradition of his grandfather and founder of Mauryan empire, which is Chandragupta Maurya.

Ashoka ruled from 268 BC to 232 BC and had an expansionist policy but after the Kalinga war after seeing death and destruction he gave up the policy of war and adopted policy of Dhamma and it was the policy of Dhamma that is largely found in his inscriptions.

It was written so that even the common people could easily understand it and hence the common language, that is Prakrit was used and the script used was Brahmi script.
