Ashraf is at an airport. He has a packet of rice crackers. The packet contains a gas. Ashraf takes the packet onto an aeroplane. When the aeroplane is high in the sky, the air pressure in the cabin gets less. The packet infates.

Q1. When Ashraf was at the airport, the gas inside the packet was at the same pressure as the air around it. What does this mean?

Q2. What changed when Ashraf was in the aeroplane?

Answer:

1. Because the packet is air tight and as that packet has trapped air or gas inside the packet increases and because the ambient air pressure in the cabin is less and due to this the pressure in the airplane reduced causing the packet to inflate.

2.the pressure in the plane is smaller than on the ground so that changed .

you can even refer to Boyle's law

Hope this helps you !
