                                     PHYSICAL FEATURES.

Asia can be divided into five major physical regions: mountain systems, plateaus, plains, steppes, deserts, fresh water and salt water environments.
The Himalaya Mountains extend for about 2500 kms separating the Indian sub-continent from the rest of Asia.
Some landforms in Asia include
Mount Everest and the Himalayas
Yangtze River in China.
Mount Fuji.
Lake Baikal.
Dead Sea.
Asia is bordered by three oceans.
To the north is the Arctic Ocean.
To the south is the Indian Ocean.
Eastern coast is the Pacific Ocean.
 

In the west Asia is separated from Europe by the Ural Mountains, Black sea and Caspian Sea.
The major mountains in Asia are Himalayas, Karakorum, Kunlun, Hindu Kush
The highest peak is Mt. Everest.
The lowest point is Dead Sea.
The major rivers are Yangtze, Ob, Yenisey, Indus, Ganga, Brahmaputra, Tigris and Euphrates.
The major lake is Baikal. (deepest in the world).
Red sea and Suez Canal separate Asia from Africa.
In the North East Bering Strait separates Asia from North America.
