Ask the students to adopt a sapling. Ask them to take care of it and water it timely for a period of one month. Ask them to note down the changes they observe in a scrap book. Also ask them to take pictures of the plant at every stage of change and paste these pictures in a scrapbook.

Answer :

We term a tree as sapling when the tree attains or reaches tallness of 3 feet. First , we have to adopt or collect a sapling. Then search a suitable area for planting the sapling. After getting a suitable area, plant the tree. Fill the pit with soil and then water the sapling. Feed the sapling regularly time to time with nutrients and manure.

We will be able to see changes in the sapling after some due course of time. First we will observe that the trunk of the sapling is capable of bending. We will also see that foliage leaves arises and the bark is smooth.

After some months, the sapling grows into a mature tree . The mature tree bears fruits and flowers.
