Dangers of being a foodaholic
There is a famous proverb ‘Gluttony kills more than the
sword.’ The person who coined this proverb knew the dangers of excessive eating
well. There is nothing good about a foodaholic. Excessive eating and junk food
are interrelated. You won’t find a foodaholic gormandizing nutritious food. It is
always the junk food that is gobbled up by a foodahoilc. Junk food wreakes
havoc on the health of people, especially of children.
Obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, cholesterol imbalance, headaches, depression, dentalproblems, etc, never ever abounded as much before the advent of junk foods as
they do now.
These foods are often high in calories yet offer little or no
nutritional value. When fast food frequently replaces nutritious foods in your
diet, it can lead to poor nutrition, poor health, and weight gain. Tests in lab
animals have even shown a negative effect in short duration diets. Being
overweight is a risk factor for a variety of chronic health problems including
heart disease, diabetes, and stroke. So, in order to stay healthy, happy,
and prosperous, one must abstain himself from gluttony.
