This is right, because body even wants to accelerate, but not able to accelerate due to zero velocity

When body travels vertically upwards, at highest point it comes to rest for a very small duration(such that velocity now becomes 0). But the acceleration due to gravity which still acts on the body we can say that though velocity is 0, it is has acceleration.
