Assertion (A) and the Reason (R) are both correct.

When both plane mirror and object are moved by a distance of x then the image moves by a distance of x because it is a property of the plane mirror that the object and image are at the same distance from the mirror and hence the assertion and the reasons are correct as the image will also move a distance of 2x if the mirror or the object are moved through a distance x.
