Assertion A: Iron particles get coated with reddish brown powder when left for some time in the open.
Reason R: Iron is corroded by atmospheric gases and moisture.
i have a doubt here that can it be c. A is true and R is false as in R it says that iron is corroded by atmospheric gases but we know that iron gets corroded by rusting which due to reaction with oxygen... which is an atmospheric gas but question mention atmospheric gases which contains many gases like h2 co2, no2 which does not react with iron to corrode it and it is only due oxygen so can anyone tell what should be the answer and am i right here by saying the things above??? thank u

assumption is wrong iron is corrode by moisture present in the atmosphere so assertion and reason are both correct and reason is the correct explanation of assertion
