Answer: Assertion is is because if angle of incidence is zero , angle of refraction also has to be zero, not 2. Reason is false as snell' s law is used for refraction of light, not reflection .

When the light ray is incident normally on a plane mirror then by using laws of reflection angle of incidence is equal to angle of reflection. Hence, as the angle of incidence is zero degree angle of reflection is zero degree. Thus, reflected ray will reflect back in same path as that of incident ray.
