Answer:

Assertion is true but Reason is false.

Step-by-step explanation:

Find the area of the triangle using Heron's fomula

s= (26+28+30)/2 = 42

area= √s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)

area= √ 42x16x14x12

area= √112896

area= 336sq.cm

we can also find the area by the formula- 1/2 x b x h

b= 28cm

(28xh)/2= 336

28xh= 336x2 = 672

h= 672/28

height=24.

Therefore Assertion is correct.

Find the area of the triangle using Heron's fomula

s= (6+5+5)/2 = 8

area= √s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)

area= √ 8x2x3x3

area= √144

area= 12sq.cm

As aforementioned we can also find the area by the formula- 1/2 x b x h

b= 6cm

(6xh)/2= 12

6xh= 12x2 = 24

h= 24/6

height= 4.

Therefore Reason is incorrect
