Assertion(A): the polynomial P(x) = x^3+x has one real zero.
Reason(R): the polynomial of nth degree has at most n zeros.
Verify whether both assertion and reason are correct and reason is correct explanation of assertion?

Answer:

No. Assertion and Reason both are correct but Reason is not the correct explanation of the Assertion.

Step-by-step explanation:

p(x) = {x}^{3} + x \\ p(0) = {0}^{3} + 0 = 0.

So, '0' is the only real zero of p(x).

But it is true that any polynomial of 'n' degree have at most 'n' zeroes.
