  • The conductivity of the conductor decreases with the increase of temperature because when the temperature is increased the kinetic energy of the electrons in the element increases and hence it increases the movement of the electrons as a whole. This opposes the flow of the electrons and the conductivity decreases.
  • Resistivity is the reciprocal of conductivity and hence, resistance increases when the temperature is increased.
