Answer:

yes the reason is the correct

Explanation:

The answer is simple,we see color when a part of(some specific wavelengths) electromagnetic Wave lying in visible region of spectrum (light as we call it) gets reflected and is received by our eyes.

So only those colours which are reflected are seen rest are absorbed.

Returning to the question what black we see around not absorbing perfectly but true black is seen when all the colors are perfectly absorbed I.e. nothing leaves.

So is there any thing like perfect black?

Yes as black holes exist ,and as light doesn't escape them they are perfect black.

I would conclude this answer is to basically to reduce any chance of misconceptions created by the above answers(if any).so every object we see as black is actually having a shade of black.

Assertion is true but reason is false.

Explanation:

  • All matter either absorbs or reflect light rays.
  • Colour of any object depends on the wavelength of light reflected from the object.
  • Light rays consist of all seven dominant colours as visible electromagnetic spectrum.
  • If an object appears to be blue, then the reason behind it is that  the wavelength of blue light is reflected into our eyes. And we see the object as blue.
  • When all the colours are reflected from an object, then the object appears to be white.
  • Lights rays are either reflected or absorbed.
  • A black colour body absorbs all the light and no wavelength of light is reflected. This is why the object appears to be of black colour.
