Hi,

Assertion: Chemical bonds in organic compounds are covalent in nature.

Reason: Covalent bond is formed by the sharing of electrons in the bonding atoms.

⏭️⏭️ The Reason does not satisfies the assertion completely.

1⃣ Because it does not tells that why Carbon

atom forms Covalent bond?

2⃣ Hydrogen is also not present in atomic

form,it present in molecular or Diatomic form ;

H2 ,shared electrons to complete their outer

orbit,same as Oxygen; O2 and many

other ,but these are not organic compounds.

3⃣ And sometimes when carbon make

Covalent bonds with high electronegative

elements ,the bond gets polarised ,left out

carbon atom with partial positive charge,like

Halogens,Oxygen,Nitrogen etc

Hope given Information satisfies your needs.
