Assertion : If we draw two triangles with angles 30,70 and 80 degree and the length of the sides of one triangle be different than that of the corresponding sides of the other triangle then two triangles are not congruent. Reason : If two triangles are constructed which have all corresponding angles equal but have unequal corresponding sides, then the two triangles cannot be congruent to each other.

The Answer to This Assertion-Reason Reason based question is Both Assertion and Reason are True and Reason is the correct explanation for the Assertion.

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Given: Two Triangles with equal angles - Let α = 30°, β = 70° and γ = 80°. and the length of the sides of one triangle be different than that of the corresponding sides of the other triangle.
  • We know,  In geometry, two figures or objects are said to be congruent if they have the same shape and size, or if one has the same shape and size as the mirror image of the other. They will be perfectly aligned.
  • Here, We are given that the triangles have all three corresponding pairs of angles equal, one of the corresponding sides is different from the other. Sides of the triangle determines its Size. So, these triangle won't at all be congruent.

Therefore, Both Assertion and Reason are True and Reason is the correct explanation for the Assertion.
