Both Assertion and Reason are correct but Reason is not the correct explaination of Assertion.
But why??
- Minimum distance of real image and real object in a concave mirror can be zero. This happens when the real object has been placed at the centre of curvature of the concave mirror. Then the real image is also produced at the centre of curvature and hence the distance between them becomes zero.
- Secondly, concave mirror can produce virtual images of real objects if the object is placed in between focus and pole of the mirror. In that case, the image is erect and magnified.
Both are true , however the 2nd point doesn't explain the 1st point.
Hope It Helps
