A pure tall plant (TT) is crossed with a short plant (tt).

Let's first workout the Punett Square.

\begin{array}{|c|c|c|}\cline{1-3} & \sf T & \sf T \\ \cline{1-3} \sf t & \sf Tt & \sf Tt \\ \cline{1-3} \sf t & \sf Tt & \sf Tt \\ \cline{1-3} \end{array}

Four Heterozygous Tall plants are produced.

  • Genotype Ratio - 4 : 0
  • Phenotypic Ratio - 4 : 0

Assertion is False.

It is no secret that genes come in pairs, usually one dominant allele and the other being recessive allele.

Dominant Gene :

  • An allele that expresses itself even with thr presence of another allele (dominant or recessive) is called a Dominant Gene. It tends to suppress the activity and expression of the other gene.

  • According to Mendelian Genetics, a dominant gene is seen in all progenies of the First Filial Generation and in 3/4th of the population in Second Filial Generation. So, it's evident tallness is dominant over shortness.

Reason is True.
