Assertion : Number of radial and angular nodes for 3p orbital are 1, 1 respectively.
Reason : Number of radial and angular nodes depends only on principal quantum number.
(a) both assertion and reason are true and reason is the correct explanation of assertion.
(b) both assertion and reason are true but reason is not the correct explanation of assertion.
(c) assertion is true but reason is false

Final Answer : (c) Assertion is true but reason is false.

Steps :
1) No. of radial nodes = n + l - 1
No. of angular nodes = l
Therefore, No of Radial and Angular nodes depends on Principal Quantum Number and Azimuthal quantum Number.

2) In 3p orbital,
n = 3
l = 1 ,
So,
No. of radial nodes = 3 -1-1 = 1
No. of angular nodes = 1

Therefore, Assertion is true but reason is false
