Explanation:

As the filament is like a solenoid( a coil with rings), the current passing through the filament may have more current than the line wires. But we have to note that current entering the line wire and filament are same while the current flowing in them are different due to disimilar path they flow.

If there is more current flow then the body gets more heated thus produces more heat energy and light energy.

Thus both the statements are correct but not correct reason.
