Explanation:

Viruses are small parasites having size in the range of 0.02 to 0.3μm in size. They do not have any structure and get active after occupying the cell wall of the host. They utilise material of the host cell wall and do not possess their own cell wall, cell membrane, nucleus, and other cell organelles.

During the process of lysis, viruses burst out of the host cell wall and kill the host cell. They replicate rapidly and infect other host cells.

So from the above discussion it is clear that both  assertion and reason are correct but  reaosn is not the correct explanation of asertion.
