D)Assertion is false but reason is true

It is so because when a wire is stretched for three times its resistance will also be three because length is directly proportional to resistance and does it will not increase by 9 times and that's why the assertion is false but reason is true

Answer:

(a)

Explanation:

This is because when the length of wire is streched 3 times, the area of wire will also get reduced by 3 times because the wire is not tripled, it's stretched.
