A If both assertion and reason are true and the reason is the correct explanation of the assertion is correct about rain water.

  1. Rain water forms by evaporation of water available on earth's surface. This evaporation causes water vapour to reach the clouds leaving all the impurities.
  2. Now, this water condenses to form water droplets which joins together and precipitate on Earth.
  3. Thus, rain water is the purest form of water.
  4. This rain water when mixes with impurities which are in the form of ions makes it a good conductor of electricity.
