Answer:

Hey here is your answer.

Explanation:

Gandhiji played a leading role in Indian National Movement between 1916-1948, Because of his contribution this period is known as the Gandhian Era.

Gandhiji successfully involved the masses in the Satyagraha Movement at Champaran, Kheda and Ahmedabad.

He organised important nationwide mass movements like Non-Cooperation and Civil Disobedience and later Quit India Movement.

He took the causes of the depressed classes and called them Harijans. He signed Poona Pact with Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and protested the division of Hindus on caste lines.

Gandhiji fought the mighty British empire with the unique and novel method of Satyagraha. His method was based on truth and Non-Violence. He believed that the British would not be able to continue in India, if Indians stopped cooperating with the government. His methods included boycott of all British insulations including legislative councils, law courts, offices, schools, colleges, picketing of shops selling foreign goods, renunciation of honors and titles awarded by the British, refusing to buy foreign cloth, non-payment of tax, etc. Gandhiji made it clear that the movement of protest must be non-violent. He believed in Hindu-Muslim unity and supported Khilafat Movement.  Thanks
