(1)

Given, Mr. Dacwag had \dfrac{3}{4} hectare of land.

He gave \dfrac{1}{3} of hectare to his son.

Then the mathematical expression of the share of his remaining children

= \dfrac{3}{4}-\dfrac{1}{3} hectare

Thus tge required share of his remaining children

= \dfrac{3}{4}-\dfrac{1}{3} hectare

= \dfrac{9-4}{12} hectare

= \dfrac{5}{12} hectare

(2)

Given, Dina bought \dfrac{2}{3} yard of yellow yarn and \dfrac{4}{5} yard of blue yarn for her crocheting hobby.

Then the mathematical expression of the total length of yarn she buy bought

= \dfrac{2}{3}+\dfrac{4}{5} yards

Thus the required total length

= \dfrac{2}{3}+\dfrac{4}{5} yards

= \dfrac{10+12}{15} yards

= \dfrac{22}{15} yards
