1. Calculate the change in entropy accompanying the isothermal expansion of 5
moles of an ideal gas at 330 K, until its volume has increased six times.
2. Calculate the entropy increase in the evaporation of I mole of water at 100°C.
Latent heat of evaporation of water at 100°C is 540 cal/g.
3. I mole of Hz and 9 mole of Nu are mixed at 298 Kand I atmosphere. Assuming
the ideal behavior of gas, calculate entropy of mixing per mole of the mixture
formed.
4. ANTP 2,8 litres of oxygen were mixed with 19.6 litres of hydrogen Calculate the
increase in entropy. Assuming ideal gas behavior.
5. AG for a reaction at 300 Kis-16 kcal; AH for the reaction is -10 kcal. What is the
entropy of the reaction? What will be AG AT 330 K?
