Dear Diary
Today we celebrated World Environment Day. Usually we all get together and participate in a tree plantation drive, but this year, because of the pandemic, we did not gather in one place. Instead, each one of us planted a sapling and shared the video in our school group. My mother suggested that we plant a neem tree in our compound. Neem has immense medicinal value and is also said to keep mosquitoes away. We followed all the instructions given by our teacher, dug up some soil, planted the sapling and watered it. I wish each one of us could plant a tree and look after it as well. Wouldn’t that add so much greenery, and help us connect with nature? I am now waiting for my plant to start growing!
