Attack by pests on crops have a long-lasting, negative effect on yield and crop quality. Seasonal crops are grown only during a certain season and if that is affected by pests, then farmers have to wait for the next suitable season to sow seeds and harvest the crop.
So as not to lose their crops to pests, farmers use pesticides. Pesticides are chemical compounds sprayed on crops or plants to rid them of pests. Pests are either killed by pesticides or prevent them from attacking the crop. Sensible usage of pesticides, prevent crop loss.
