There are 8 planets in solar system
they are:-
Mercury
Venus
Earth
Mars
Jupiter
Saturn

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION :-
1) Mercury is the 1st planet in solar system and it is very hot . it is called as hot revolving ball.
2) Venus is 2nd planet .it can be recognized easily .it is made up of carbon dioxide .sunrise and sunset as seen from the planet will be west and east .
3) Earth is 3rd planet . It has only one satellite called moon . Earth is only planet in solar system where life exists .Nearly two third of Earth's surface is covered by water .
4) Mars is 4th planet .it is reddish planet .spacecraft like Viking have explored mars, for evidence of life .
Some places on Mars have moderate temperature .mars has oxygen, nitrogen and water. it has frozen carbon dioxide near the poles which look like ice caps .
5) Jupiter is fifth planet. it is the largest planet of solar system .its Orbit period is nearly 12 years. each day in about 10 hours that means it rotates very fast due to the fast rotation it is bulged and the equator and flat and at the poles .
6) Saturn is sixth planet .it is second largest planet in the solar system it is fascinating experience to give the planet using a telescope .it special future is a prominent ring system which is made up of many small ringlets .
7) Uranus is seventh planet and it is the third largest planet . A ring system around this planet was discovered by professor J.C. Bhattacharya and
k . kupppaSwamy of Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bengaluru. the planet was first discovered by William herschel it is specular planet because its axis of rotation as a tilt of about 82 degree .
8) Neptune is the eighth planet from the Sun the planet Neptune can be seen only with the help of telescope earlier its existence wad predicated by mathematical calculations . its period of rotation and revolution are 16 hours 30 minutes and about 165 years respectively .

mercury= it is the hottest planet in the solar system
venus= it is the brightest planet in the solar system
Earth= It is the only planet where organism live
Mars= it is the closest planet to earth
