algae is green in colour so it can make its own food. so algae help in giving food to fungi and fungi provides shelter to algae

Algae and fungi show symbiotic relationship which means they both are beneficial to each other.
In this relationship algae (cyanobacteria) prepare food for fungi through the process called photosynthesis & fungi provide shelter to it.
