Given :-

Distance between mirror and image is 6m

To find

The distance between the person and his image when he moves 2m towards the mirror

Solution :-

Case I

When the distance between image and mirror = 6cm

distance between person and mirror = 6m

•°• The distance between person and his image = 6+6= 12m

Case II

When person moves 2m towards the mirror

So it's image also moves 2m towards the mirror

•°• Total distance moved = 4m

So , the distance between person and his image = 12-4=8m

The distance between person and his image is 8m

Answer:

Given :-

Assume a person is standing in front of a plane mirror. The distance between the mirror and his image is 6m. If the person moves 2m towards the plane mirror

To Find :-

what would be the distance between the person and his image?

Solution :-

At first the distance between man and mirror is 6 m. Then again the distance increase by 6 m. Now,

When person move towards the mirror by 2 m

So,

At first add both distance and subtract them by 2

 \large \sf \bigg \lgroup \: 6 + 6 \bigg \rgroup - 2

 \large \sf \: 10 - 2

 \large \sf \: 8 \: m

Thus, The distance between person and image is 8 m.
