Given:

No. of days 10 men can do a work = 5

No. of days 25 women can do the work = 10

To find:

The no. of days taken to complete the work by 15 men and 20 women.

Solution:

5 days are required for 10 men to complete the work.

No. of women required to complete the work in 10 days = 25

No. of women required to complete the work in 5 days = \frac{25*10}{5}=50

Hence, 50 women can complete work in 5 days which 10 men take.

10men=50women

1man=5women

We have 15 men and 20 women.

20=5*4

It has been calculated that,

5women=1man

Multiplying the above by 4,

20women=4men

15men+20women=15men+4men=19men

If 10 men can complete the work in 5 days, then 19 men can complete the work in \frac{5*10}{19}=\frac{50}{19} days

Hence, 15 men and 20 women can do the task in \frac{50}{19} days.

15 men and 20 women can do the task in \frac{50}{19} days.
