Average speed= total distance/total time

Case 1(air)
total distance=1200km
total time=2 hrs
average speed=1200km/2hrs= 600km/h

Case 1(air)
total distance=1200km
total time=2 hrs
average speed=1200km/2hrs= 600km/h

Case 2(train)
total distance=1500km
total time=25hrs
average speed=1500km/25hrs= 60km/h

hope it helps.

Average speed by air :

Total distance covered / Total time taken

= 1200/2

= 600 km / hr

Average speed by train

Total distance covered / Total time taken

= 1500/25

= 60 km / hr
