Asteroids are found between the orbits of “Mars and Jupiter”. Asteroids are small, rocky substances which are more irregular in shape that orbits the sun. Although they are like planets which move around the sun in a pre-determined way, they are much smaller in size compared to the planets. They are also referred as “minor planets”. A belt is formed namely “Asteroid Belt” due to the presence of enormous amount of Asteroids between the planets Mars and Jupiter. Hence, option (ii) tends to be the correct one.
