Astronauts fixed a tin flag on the Moon but not the flag made of cloth why?

coz there is no air and flag will always be down which they didn't want so...

Because there is no air on the moon and if the flag will be made of cloth then it will not flow , it will lean downward that's why it is made of metal not cloth . It will lean downward because moon have a small gravitational field
