a. let the 1st no. be x. then the other no. will be - x+1
we know tht the square of 15 is 225.
it is given that the sum of the consecutive numbers is the square of 15
tht means:
x+ (x+1) = 225
=2x+1 =225
= 2x = 225-1
= x = 224/2
= x = 112
the 2 no.s are : 112 and 112 +1 = 113
b. like the same method :
square of 31 = 961
x+(x+1)= 961
2x+1= 961
2x=961-1
x=960/2
x=480
so the 2 no.s are : 480 nd 480+1= 481
